2 -  The origins of the Nordeste Tradition of rock paintings: diffusion and diaspora.

Based on a possible nucleus which originated in southeastern Piauí, the Nordeste Tradition was fixed as a cultural horizon with a wide distribution. With the advance of archaeological research in other areas of the Brazilian Northeast, hypotheses of the distribution of this cultural horizon were formulated, motivated by demographic division and trical rivalries.
Human groups starting from the Southeast of Piauí are supposed to have crossed the São Francisco valley and settled in areas of Bahia, Pernambuco and Rio Grande do Norte. The territorial and chronological scope of this dispersal becomes manifest in modifications and by adding new elements, at the same time maintaining the central graphic nucleus of Nordeste Tradition.

2 - As origens  das pinturas da Tradição Nordeste: difusão e diáspora.

A partir de um possível núcleo originário situado no SE do Piauí se fixou a Tradição Nordeste como um horizonte cultural de ampla dispersão.  Com o avanço das pesquisas arqueológicas em outras regiões do nordeste brasileiro se formularam hipóteses sobre a dispersão desse horizonte gráfico motivada por cisões demográficas ou rivalidades tribais. Grupos humanos originários do SE do Piauí teriam emigrado a través do vale do São Francisco e se instalado em áreas da Bahia, Pernambuco e no Rio Grande do Norte. A amplitude territorial e cronológica dessa dispersão se manifesta em mudanças e na inclusão de elementos novos, embora mantendo o núcleo central gráfico da Tradição Nordeste.
